Valentine's Shortbread

Baker's Dream Shortbread

Buttery, classic, and made to share.


  • 1 Cup Unsalted Butter, softened

  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch

  • 2 Cups Baker's Dream Cake Wheat Flour

  • 1 tsp Vanilla Essence

  • ¾ Cup Powdered Sugar

  • Pinch of Salt


Method:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together butter until smooth. Add the sugar and vanilla essence, mixing until light creamy.

  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch and salt until well combined.

  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until well combined.

  4. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill in fridge for an hour.

  5. Preheat the oven to 175ºC and line a tray with baking paper.

  6. Roll the dough over lightly floured surface and press a heart shaped cookie cutter into them. Place the cookies on the baking paper.

  7. Place in oven and bake for 9 - 11 minutes or until light golden brown.

  8. Serve and enjoy!
